Through our research and partnerships, we’re helping employers create workplaces and environments that support workers of all ages.
Nearly one third of the UK workforce are aged 50 or over, more than 10 million workers. But not all employers offer what’s needed to retain an older workforce or recognise the benefits of doing so.
We’re working with the government and employers to create the right conditions for more people over 50 to be in fulfilling work. We’ve developed a five-point guide to help employers create age-friendly workplaces. We are also carrying out pilots and test programmes with employers on the best ways to put these principles into practice.
