We welcome Natalie Turner as Senior Programme Manager

Natalie Turner joins Ageing Better as Senior Programme Manager – Localities, with over 15 years' experience in health, care and community programme management.

Natalie joins the Centre for Ageing Better from AARP, an American nonprofit, social welfare organisation with a membership of nearly 38 million, where she was responsible for identifying and translating international best practice in ageing for a United States context.

She held responsibility for a number of AARP’s global relationships including WHO and the European Commission and was also a lead for the AARP led US network of Age-friendly Communities.

With a wealth of knowledge and experience Natalie will to help to build and further develop the fantastic work already started in Greater Manchester, as well as identify opportunities to partner with other places which share our ambition to create communities where the contribution of people in later life is valued and encouraged.

The Centre for Ageing Better is pioneering ways to make ageing better a reality for everyone, including challenging ageism and building an Age-friendly Movement, creating Age-friendly Employment and Age-friendly Homes. It is a charitable foundation funded by The National Lottery Community Fund and part of the government’s What Works Network.
