The Age-friendly Training project aims to improve the quality and uptake of age-friendly training across the UK, helping more staff in customer-facing settings to have the understanding and motivation to make services more accessible and inclusive for older people.
The successful bidder will lead a design process – understanding needs and co-producing training with those who may be implementing or receiving the final training. They will research the current age-friendly training landscape, identify what training products are needed for different audiences, and develop, test and refine training products that can be used by age-friendly communities and other organisations across diverse local contexts.
The successful bidder will bring expertise in producing training products related to topics such as EDI, accessibility, health inequalities and service delivery. They will have a good understanding of the types of training approaches that are effective to enable learning and behaviour change of those working in customer-facing settings.
