Response to study on rising living costs leading to people working longer

“Financial security in later life is important, and we need to make sure people who want to work beyond State Pension age are supported to do so.

“That means offering older workers training and development opportunities, providing flexible working options for people providing unpaid care, and eliminating age-discrimination from the workplace.

“It’s not just about money though – evidence shows people who want to stay in work need fulfilling jobs that are intellectually stimulating, provide a sense of meaning and purpose, and help them to keep vital social connections.”
