We’ve updated our set of downloadable infographics about living longer to help you better understand the evidence base and opportunities around demographic changes and trends. The cards have been designed to be used on social media or in workshops to run an ‘evidence safari’, a collaborative and interactive way of exploring research and insight rapidly.
At the Centre for Ageing Better, we want everyone to enjoy later life. However, achieving this will require radical action across a number of areas. We’ve produced these cards to support those interested in understanding how they can approach the opportunity of an ageing population in new and collaborative ways. For example, they might be helpful for a board looking to develop a strategy that references ageing or a local authority looking to understand their priorities through an ageing lens.
The launch of this resource follows our flagship report, The State of Ageing 2022, which captures a snapshot of how people in the UK are ageing today. The report also looks at past trends and our prospects if action isn’t taken. Most statistics referenced in these infographics can be found in The State of Ageing, although we have also included broader statistics about older age from various sources.
The release of these cards also complements our existing suite of free and publicly available resources: age-positive icons and image library.
If you would like to share with us your experience of using the resource, we’d love to hear from you
