The four reports in this programme of research highlight how policy changes have reshaped this stage of life but have crucially left behind a financially insecure group of people.
The reports explore the work, finances, planning and saving experiences of people in their 60s, to show how people experience this decade of transition, how it has changed across the past 20 years, and what it means for people in their 60s today.
The final two reports, focusing on finances and planning and saving, will be published later this year.
