Age‑friendly Communities Network Manager
Alex manages the UK Network of Age-friendly Communities, a growing UK movement affiliated to the World Health Organisation.

The Network had a membership of around 100 places across the country committed to making their community a better place to age in. Over 30 million people are living in an Age-friendly Community, including places like Greater Manchester and Cardiff. In her role Alex works to provide guidance, connect places and offer support to member communities as they work towards making their services and infrastructure more age-friendly. She is also responsible for growing the network so that more places across the UK can become age-friendly.

Alex joined the Centre for Ageing Better in May 2025, having previously worked for the Town and Country Planning Association (TCPA), where she managed a network of local authorities planning and delivering large-scale new communities.
