Jenny
Manchester

Head of Communications
Jenny leads the communications teams in order to influence attitudes, policy and practice on key aspects of ageing and the stark inequalities facing millions of people.

Jenny is responsible for ensuring that there is an energetic and ambitious communications plan that promotes all of Ageing Better’s activity, raises the profile of the organisation and challenges ageism across society.

She has more than 20 years' experience in managing communications on social issues from sex discrimination to loneliness. Jenny worked for the Equal Opportunities Commission, various local authorities including specialist communications roles supporting adult and children’s social care teams, and more recently for the Campaign to End Loneliness – a fellow member of the What Works Network. She is also a trustee for TurnAround, a literacy charity based in St Mary Cray, Bromley which supports adults and children with basic literacy skills.
