Jo leads Ageing Better’s public affairs and campaigns work to build the organisation’s profile and influence government policy to create a more age-friendly society.

She works with teams across the organisation to advocate for national policy changes on homes, work, and the creation of an Older People’s Commissioner for England.

She is passionate about Ageing Better’s work to tackle ageist stereotypes and promote positive views of ageing and the contribution older people can make to society. Jo joined Ageing Better in July 2022.

She has 10 years’ experience in campaigning for policy change, having previously worked in policy and public affairs roles for a range of health charities, including Cancer Research UK and the British Heart Foundation. Jo started her career at the political and communications agency, Portland Communications.
