Mocking, patronising and demonising: UK’s ageist attitudes revealed in new report
Attitudes to ageing and older people in the UK are mostly negative, according to a review of the evidence, with older people seen as incompetent, hostile or a burden on society.

Negative stereotypes are rife in the workplace, in health and social care and in the media, with women and people from black and minority ethnic groups facing “double jeopardy” of discrimination.
