Liz also overlooks the Firm’s collaboration network and M&A activity (when McKinsey buys or invests in companies (for example Element AI (Advanced Analytics), HyperScience (OCR Technology), Orpheus (Spend Analytics in procurement) and Quantum Black (Advanced Analytics).
Liz spent her first nine years at the Firm in McKinsey Digital and Marketing and Sales, where she focussed on digital transformations. Her clients were primarily in the Consumer Goods and Retail sectors, though extending also to other consumer-facing organisations in Airlines, Quick Service Restaurants, Insurance, Travel, Toys and Cameras. She is an expert in consumer-facing digital topics with expertise in digital strategy, omnichannel, digital marketing and product management. She has also focussed deeply on digital culture, organisation and operating model as well as change management more broadly. Liz often speaks at industry events on these topics including TEDx, LinkedIn TalentConnect, RetailWeek, Google’s Retail Advisory Council, McKinsey BLINK and more. She also leads McKinsey’s global recruiting at INSEAD and Women’s hiring efforts.
Prior to McKinsey, Liz worked at Google for six years in London, Paris and Mountain View as a Product Marketing Manager for Google Maps, Google Earth, and Gmail. She also pioneered Develop Outreach in Europe following acquisition of Android and the build-out of the API landscape. Liz received her BA in International Relations from Stanford University holds an MBA from INSEAD.
