This webinar is delivered by the Centre of Ageing Better with speakers from Ageing Better, Lincolnshire County and District Council(s) and London School of Economics.
Please come along to hear about how Good Home Hubs work in practice and why a network of these hubs should be rolled out across England to improve homes for all.
About:
In this webinar, we will launch our first insight report from the independent evaluation of Good Home Lincs, commissioned by the Centre for Ageing Better and carried out by researchers at LSE London.
Good Home Lincs is a pilot of Centre for Ageing Better’s Good Home Hub model. These hubs provide one-stop-shop services on all aspects of home repairs and adaptations, with support and signposting on everything from finding trusted tradespeople and identifying what work needs to be done, to how to finance repairs and improve energy efficiency. Over the past few years, the Centre for Ageing Better has worked in close partnership with Lincolnshire County and District Council, alongside commissioned service designers, to turn Lincolnshire’s housing ambitions into real, practical change. The result is Good Home Lincs - a new Good Home Hub model focused on improving the quality of homes across the county.
Good Home Lincs is a two-year pilot, funded by the Good Home Alliance, and independently evaluated by LSE London, a research unit at the London School of Economics.
In this focused one-hour session, we’ll explore the key insights and early learnings from the first year of Good Home Lincs - what’s working, what’s been learned so far, and what it could mean for the future of home improvement services across the country.
The Centre for Ageing Better believes that implementing a national network of Good Home Hubs in Local Authorities would enable the government to properly address the housing crisis and ensure that everyone is able to live in homes that are safe. Our findings from this pilot project demonstrate just how impactful a service such as this can be.
