Our response to the PPI report 'Living the Future Life'
Read our response to the Pensions Policy Institute (PPI) report 'Living the Future Life - the implications of a longer life'.
This report is very welcome and highlights how we need to look at all the factors which affect the quality of our retirement together, rather than in isolation.
We need to think radically differently to help people make the most of their longer lives and stem widening inequality in how people experience older age.

'This report is very welcome and highlights how we need to look at all the factors which affect the quality of our retirement together, rather than in isolation.'
'We are all living for longer, but society has failed to keep pace with this change. We need to think radically differently to help people make the most of their longer lives and stem widening inequality in how people experience older age. This requires leadership from government and action from all levels and parts of our society.'
'This means doing more to:
- help people live independently and safely at home
- ensuring people can enjoy more years of healthy life free from disability
- supporting people to work for as long as they want to in decent employment, and
- creating communities that support us to age well and keep social and active.'
