Local Age UKs have an important role to play in developing their area as an Age-friendly Community.
In this session we will outline the World Health Organisation's Age-friendly Communities approach and how it can bring benefit to local Age UKs. We will share examples of how different Age UKs have led or been involved in the work locally, whether that's advocating for their council to take action, leading the whole Age-friendly programme, or delivering specific projects as part of a local Age-friendly strategy.
We will be joined by local Age UK CEOs who will share more about their experiences with Age-friendly Communities as part of a Q&A.
