Responding to the Government’s Civil Society Strategy, Anna Dixon, Chief Executive of the Centre for Ageing Better said:
“The Government’s focus on creating stronger, more connected communities is welcome.
“Communities where we know and help each other are essential to a good later life, making it easier for people to build relationships and stay active as they grow older.
“Our review with DCMS, published later this year, will set out how government, charities and funders can best support people in later to get more involved in civic life and contribute their knowledge, skills and passion to their communities.”
