New research has revealed that many 65-year-olds lost out financially when the state pension age rose to 66 – including older workers still in employment.
Many people want or need to continue working as they get older but can face barriers in doing so.
A third of the workforce in England are aged 50 or over, nearly 9 million workers. But not all employers are offering what’s needed to retain older workers, or recognising the importance of recruiting them.
