Many people want or need to continue working as they get older but can face barriers in doing so.
A third of the workforce in England are aged 50 or over, nearly 9 million workers. But not all employers are offering what’s needed to retain older workers, or recognising the importance of recruiting them.
We are working with the government and employers to create the right conditions for more people over 50 to be in fulfilling work. We have developed a range of resources including a five-point guide to help employers create age-friendly workplaces.
